"Is everything fine with you, Ana? You seem off?" Alessandro's soft voice snapped me out of my reverie.

I looked around myself and realized, I sat on the same spot when I entered in the diner and encountered with Maximus. My guts cringed from insides.

I licked my lips hesitantly and rose on my numb feet.

"You're are thirty minutes late?"I glanced down at my watch, it showed around seven.

"Sorry, love I got stuck in the traffic that's why I am late.I texted you but I see you didn't read it, did you?"He ushered us out of the small diner to where he parked his car, I spotted his men in formal clothes standing everywhere.

"I am sorry, I..was..actually I met Maximus."I sighed and dared to look at him whose jaw clenched upon hearing this from me,"I went to the diner to grab a coffee and wait for you there when he came here, uninvited or may be he stalked me. His behavior wasn't unsual neither did I tell him what we know about him. I thought to discuss it with you first."I added.
