SAPPHIRE’S POV.“I have been waiting for you.I brushed past Daniel who stood from the couch the moment I entered the living room and said.“Sapphire,” he called out as he walked after me.I did not answer him, nor did I stop walking as I ascended the stairs.I kept walking till I reached my room and then turned the knob of the door.The door did not open, and I exhaled at that realization.I turned the knob open again and then turned to look at Daniel who stood behind me.“You… you really did this,” I pressed my lips together.“I prepared you for it,” he shrugged his shoulders off.“Suit yourself and I will do the same,” I said and walked away.“Where are you going?” I did not answer him as I walked down the stairs again.I felt his eyes on me from where he stood, but he did not follow me.Deep down, I wished that he would follow me and then do things my way at least.When I got to the living room, I settled on the triple-sitter chair and dropped my bag on the table in front of me.
