“I was just starting it over when he called me to turn it in. I don’t know what to tell him. God!”

“Hold on, it’s just a project, right? You can do it again, can’t you?” I finally butted in and they both turned to look at me.

“Just a project?” She creased her brows and palmed her forehead.

“I should not be surprised that this is coming from a person like you, but I would really appreciate it if you would just stay out of this!” She retorted angrily.

“A person like me?”

“Come on, Tina. She just asked a question. You should not attack her that way.”

“You have no idea how much effort I have spent in doing that project since last month, and you don’t know what would become of me if your husband finds out!”
