DANIEL’S POV.

I shut my laptop while my phone was still clutched to my ear and walked out of my office.

It was almost nine in the evening and the company has closed since seven.

I was actually staying back so that I would go home with the woman. I had told her to call me when she was done and when I saw her call, I thought she was ready to go home but… she was drunk?

I had warned her to not drink and that was because I knew she could not drink and there was no way there would be team dinners without alcohol.

“Bring the car to the front,” I said to my driver after Sapphire had already ended the call.

The car pulled in front of the local bar where the team was having dinner and before the driver could come down to get the door, I got out and dashed to the bar.

As I entered gently, I looked around, trying to find where the people were, and when I caught sight of my wife who, from afar, sang with the bottle of alcohol in her hand used as a microphone.
