DANIEL’S POV.

As I descended the stairs, I tried to listen to the women's conversations. It was evident the two of them were bickering and I could only wonder what was wrong.

However, when Sapphire’s palm landed on Kira’s cheek, I stopped walking and frowned at the scene.

“I warned you to shut your mouth!” Sapphire hollered and slapped her again.

I don’t know what was more shocking. Sapphire slapping Kira or SAPPHIRE SLAPPING KIRA.

I knew the woman had quite a bad temper, but what I did not know was that she could do this too.

When she turned around and her eyes fell on me, I watched her stand still in her position before she finally composed herself and walked towards me.

As she prepared to walk past me, I grabbed her wrist and turned to look at her. “What happened?”

“Before you pick sides, I would advise you to ask her what happened. Don’t anger me more,” she said and tried to snatch her hand away.

“But I am asking you,” I said, not letting go of her.

“Ask her!” She snapped and wrig
