Daniel pulled the car into the basement and then exhaled before he turned the engine off. He had not seen Liam in a while and whenever they talked on the phone, he only told him that he was fine and nothing more.

The Liam that he knew was not the type of person to not show up at his place unannounced almost every day.

A bit worried, he made his way to his penthouse hoping he would find the man at home.

It was Sunday, of course, he should be home.

He got out of the car, walked to the elevator, and then entered it when it arrived.

After he pressed the number button of where he was going, he smiled widely when a FaceTime video entered his phone and he hurriedly picked it up.

“Where are you?” Sapphire asked with a slight frown.

“You were sleeping so I did not want to disturb you. I’m at Liam's place,” he answered.

“You should have woken me up. I looked everywhere for you,” she pouted.

“I am sorry, sweetheart. Are you okay?”

“Yes,” she said and she put a spoonful of something
