66. A DIFFERENT NIGHT

The first thing that hit me was the delicious aroma of the food as the waiter dropped our plates.

It floated into my nostrils and made my wolf dance with excitement. The hunger within me came alive and I could not withstand it anymore.

There was a huge plate of baked turkey in the center while I was given my potato fries and lamb soup.

I threw a glance at Zira and saw that she also had an excited expression. I could tell from the way her lips quivered that she only wanted to dig in already.

"Enjoy," the waiter wished us before walking away from our table.

Zira smiled and stared at me. "It looks so good already," she said in a light voice.

I took out a fresh plate and cut out some turkey before offering it to Zira. "Here, you would want to have this with the fries."

She stared at me for a while with an emotion that I could not read before accepting it from me. Then she tasted her soup first and her eyes went wide open as she swallowed it.
