I had rode for hours and only stopped when I reached our house.

My conversation with my brother still replayed in my head. There was also the possibility of being played this entire time.

I was sure that she had nothing to gain from lying to us because she and her family still kept us close and never pushed us away. They always included us in everything that they did.
