The sword did not immediately leave the scabbard, strangely stuck somewhere in the middle and forcing the hand that was pulling it to pull it several times in a panic. Finally, the blade flashed in the rays of the setting sun, and with all its might it was stuck into the chest of the approaching man. The man twitched, his pale blue face showed no emotion, only a swollen tongue protruded between black, cracked lips. The dead man wheezed, the weapon sending lightning bolts through his body, rendering his muscles immobile. He stumbled and fell to the ground very slowly, the sword still stuck in his chest.

A short, thin boy involuntarily let go of the hilt from his fingers and bit his lip, not knowing how to get his weapon back. Behind him, his sisters were trampling about, forced to retreat to the very water and already wet their feet.

“Kim, there are two more,” one of the girls squeaked.

Between the trees flashed dark twitching silhouettes purposefully walking towards people.
