Chapter Fifty

Klaire's POV

You know that feeling when your heart is shattering before you and you can't even pick up the pieces because you're in public? Or that you want to cry out and scream it out but you can't show everyone that you're affected?

That is exactly what I'm feeling right now. Outside, I had a shocked expression, but I composed myself and smiled through my pain. Especially because they all turned to me, as if checking what my reaction was.

I frowned and laughed at them before shrugging nonchalantly. "Why are you all looking at me? It's none of my business and I'm happy for our Alpha."

Then, their attention turned to Marsh who's as pale as snow, eyes still staring at the TV. Part of me is hurt as well that a new found friend of mine has been selected to be Leonel's new pair. It isn't fair.

"They didn't tell me about it. They didn't even ask me! How could they decide for me?" Marsh said in disbelief and anger and then she left just as she fished out her phone from her pocket.
