It all makes sense now why she's reacting the way she does, why she's so unaffected, unlike me, who almost lost myself and gave in to my wolf, why she looked at me like any other person who's afraid and aloof of me.

My wolf became silent at our discovery and whimpered in pain. An Alpha male like him who can take down hundreds by himself, the strongest young wolf there is, whimpering in pain because his fated one can't even scent him and won't be able to recognize him.

I realized what I had said earlier, and I saw how confused she looked. I massaged my temple and thought of a way to escape what I said. If she's unable to feel the bond, it would be pointless to tell her. Plus, it somehow favors me because then I won't have to reject her.
