Jared and I were already in a shopping center in the city center. There are all kinds of stores with famous brands here. Usually, I would come to this place with Cora. She loves shopping here and buying everything she likes. But I didn't come with Cora this time, and I'll make sure I never come with Cora to this place again.

I first visited a luxury jewelry store, and a store clerk opened the door for me. "Welcome, Mr. Saunders."

I walked in without looking at the clerk, with Jared following me. The jewelry store's space is ample, and there are only a few visitors this afternoon.

"Mr. Saunders! It's a pleasure to have you visit our shop." One of the store salespeople who knew me well said hello, as I was used to coming here with Cora. I was already standing in front of the display case where a lot of beautiful and glittering jewelry lay inside.

My gaze fell on the various exquisite-looking necklaces on the glass shelves.
