Being Home

ATHENA'S POV.

"Welcome party?" I asked him, turning around slowly.

"Of course. I want everyone to know you're back. The daughter of the Alpha is finally back after years of absence." He replied, and I felt him walk past me gently.

"Oh." I was taken aback, and grateful that he actually thought about that. The fact that it was a welcome party, made me even more convinced that I was where I ought to be.

"What would you want as a gift? You seem to like the garden, perhaps you'd fancy flowers?" He asked, turning me around gently, and placing a flower on my nose.

The scent was nice, and seemed to help me relax. Could I really trust this place?

It wasn't that things weren't convincing enough, I just had my expectations dashed too many times.

"Flowers are nice too." I replied, taking the flower from him.

"Or you want snacks you can munch on?" He asked, and I smiled.

"Snacks are okay too." I replied.

Alpha Tristan and I spent a lot of time in the garden, and we were served breakfast there
