ALPHA JEREMY'S POV

“Yes, she is around. Is there a reason you asked?” Octavia inquired, looking curious and probably threatened.

“Why didn't you tell me?” I questioned, staring at her.

“I… I didn't think of it that way. She came back not long and is now in her room, but what's more important is checking up on you and ensuring you're okay.” Octavia spoke looking worried.

Then I sighed and shut my eyes, giving up on the coldness I was showing her.

“I'm fine. I'm sorry I made you feel worried. I'll be in my study.” I said to her and walked out of the bedroom.

I knew that wasn't enough for her to feel less worried or threatened, but there was no time to make her feel any better. I still had a few things on my mind and one of them was why Athena's presence was stirring up the wolf in me.

I walked swiftly to the study and pushed open the door, then went in. I also ensured to lock the door up because Octavia could come in and intrude my privacy and the lone moment I needed now.
