Nasty Surprise

LORRIE'S POV.

Xander and I walked through the alley laughing at a joke I had just told. We had shopped heavily, but he had insisted he could carry it all by himself. In short, Xander was carrying fifteen shopping bags. He had found a way to pin a few around him, and it had been funny, but looking at it, it seemed adorable.

"I'm glad we finally ran. That was just the last straw. I never thought he'd harm me. He's a lunatic." I said, thinking of how my head had hurt when those ceramics had smashed on my head.

"Is your head all healed?" He asked, looking at my hair, and I shook my head to show I was all fine.

"Come on, it's been a week already." I said, pushing him with my hip, and he staggered with the weight of all the shopping bags, and I laughed. "You're not even that strong."

"Try carrying all these." He retorted.

We stopped at a grocery store next, and I made sure I carried all the grocery bags, even though he insisted on carrying them.
