Just like everyone else, failing was the last thing she ever wanted. Failing would mean, no varsity, no happiness, no joy but misery would be her new middle name because she hated home, she hated doing one and the same thing daily. It was a night, in his house, whereby he felt like he was missing Candice and they had allowed 4 days to pass by, not allowing themselves to at least spend time together like they used to, the results had set them apart. The results didn't make him happy too, yes they weren't that bad but they were not great too. The fact that they didn't thrill him made it obvious that they also didn't thrill Candice.
