Candice really liked the guy,Wisdom, she fancied the face, smile, dimples, complexion and the body on it's own,but she loved the personality mostly, although she didn't know much about him.
She was always the serious type, when she loved, she loved for real, she always failed to fake feelings for a guy,if she didn't feel you then that was it.
As Wisdom offered her a lift to take her home, they discovered it was drizzling outside,so he quickly opened the car door for her before he went in. They got in the car and left,he dropped her at her home, but before he did, they had a little amazing chat.
" Hey,i forgot to ask you,how addicted are you to your phone,i mean to say how often do you look at watsapp"? There was that silence which was caused by Candice for staring at him up unt
Candice always had a good memory in terms of old events that took place in her past life, she even recalled some events that had occurred when she was 3 or 4 years old. That's how smart she was in the category. Even in her teen years, you would never cross her with words, she was smart, she caught them very fast and easily, and once she did,she never forgot it. Every term has its power, love has power, life has power, education has power, faith has power but nothing fore beats the "The power of words". That's what gives us the strength to carry on,the strength to fight, the strength of confidence, the strength of weakness and that of failure. But then no human soul has ever got a chance to choose a mother,a father,a home, town, country, life status
Just like everyone else, failing was the last thing she ever wanted. Failing would mean, no varsity, no happiness, no joy but misery would be her new middle name because she hated home, she hated doing one and the same thing daily. The house chores felt like a schedule of everyday and they were. She imagined herself viewing the results and just as she was, she discovered she had more credits than she was expecting, she had passed. Strange enough because she sometimes had terrible results so she didn't know what to believe anymore. But then Candice was the queen of faith, she had it in her, it was natural faith. As expected, seconds fell into minutes, minutes fell into hours, hours fell into days, days which completed a week, a week that was last for results to be out. At least her IGCSE results were not like the grade 10 resul
" Hello, how are you? It's been long how have you been"?His eyes were glowing, bright, shining like a star in the dark. He hugged her like his very own natural daughter, and that, you see that excitement she had, she felt like she really was his daughter, she felt warmly welcomed. " Morning sir, am okay, I've been around, I believe you know that I got a job as a columnist, so yeah, am pushing"... She smiled, but it wasn't a normal smile, actually she did smile but there was this voice that reminded her about her results, that's when her face changed, and her principal noted that." It's really good to see you, I believe you are here for the results isn't it? She agreed with him. They proceeded h
It was a night, in his house, whereby he felt like he was missing Candice and they had allowed 4 days to pass by, not allowing themselves to at least spend time together like they used to, the results had set them apart. The results didn't make him happy too, yes they weren't that bad but they were not great too. The fact that they didn't thrill him made it obvious that they also didn't thrill Candice. " Let me take my phone and text her, check if she can come out of the house to here just for an hour or so. " He decided to text her yet it was late, not very late on his side but it was late. The situation wasn't good for her go out of the house, but since she was a smart girl, one with all possibilities, she made a plan like she always did, like she always had.
" Go and take my morning shoes in the bedroom, the floor is a bit cold ". She stood up, went to look for them without an issue. She felt different about doing what she was asked to do because it had never happened before. She came back with them, brought them to him, presented them with two hands with respect. He just smiled at her and made her sit on his lap. They watched a funny romantic comedy of which it was Candice's favorite kind of thing."Babe, may you please switch on the electric gezer for me, I just want to run a quick bath to make myself warm before I get into bed.". She was in the bedroom planning to go and take a bath in the bathroom, or at least shower.
Candice quickly got into bed, slept like she had been sleeping all night. No one saw nothing, she got excited by the fact that she won the first game, she played it so very much well, like a certificated girl. She was expecting a call from Wisdom but he didn't call to check up on her, to check if she had arrived safely just like any guy would have done, just like what every girl would expect from a guy she had spent a night with.Everything came back into her mind, like a student who just remembered what and how to answer an essay question in an examination room. How the argument began, how it grew, how it developed into something so beautiful that they had on their last night. Candice was the sticky type in relationships, she loved having only one guy, not more than that.
A morning fell into a day, a day that fell into a night and a night that formed another day, with Candice struggling to reach her guy. Not that his phone was off or something, he just just decided not to take them or even reply to her texts. There was a time whereby Candice would just stay online, waiting for Wisdom to be online. I don't know if that could be defined under "Desperation" or what. Awkward thing is Wisdom was online at most times but he never responded to any of her texts. That emotionally destroyed her, she had an emotional breakdown, she thought of texting her brother and reversed that thought again, simply because she knew that he was going to snap at her, well not really snapping a
After a few days without contacting her, she decided to apply into a few universities and colleges, apply for Journalism since she was in love with it, she thought she would survive in the field. She was into law also but she thought that field requires a lot sacrifices that she never thought she would be able to meet. Time was a problem...i mean she had to balance her work life together with social life and school life...which was a bit of a killer to her. One thing she noticed and didn't want to notice is that he hardly checked up on her,he never called her, let alone taking her calls whenever she tried calling him. He acted like a married guy yet she knew very well that he wasn't married. His a
