Ch. 42 Ares

Ares P.O.V.

I woke up expecting to see Auggie and Jesse here. I honestly thought they would wake me, but neither of them did, and neither of them were anywhere in sight. They had silently slipped out at some point and I had no idea when. Futures began to play out before my eyes, only exasperating my headache. I groaned, rubbing the crick in my neck as I sat up. I looked at my phone and there were no messages from anyone. 

The futures playing out before didn’t seem promising either. I got up, grabbing a long white band t-shirt, and some torn black jeans. I traveled to the showers, wanting to get in and out quickly, before everyone’s future plays out before me for the day. Thankfully, it seemed like most everyone was sleeping off their hangovers still. Everyone goes out and parties hard on Friday nights.
