It's been over two years since Aubrey's accident and I still hadn't gotten over her. I still love her just the same and I knew that would never change. Damien was now 3 years old and I made sure and kept the memory of Aubrey alive to him. He often looked at the pictures of her and mumbled 'Momma'. It broke my heart every time.

I dropped him off at preschool every day before I headed to work. I didn't even bother dating other people. It wouldn't matter. I still want Aubrey.

Everyone grew distant. Most of them moved out of town and did other things. Emma moved to an entirely different country. Aubrey was like the glue that held us all together and now that she was gone, things fell apart.

I rarely saw Haden but when I did he would have this look on his face. He looked tired and frustrated. We barely spoke. It was awkward. We both played huge roles in Aubrey's life. Besides I had no idea what to tell Haden or what we should talk about.
