Matt had brought me home and I had thanked him for it. Even while I was at home, the rain had not stopped and Lucas was still not answering my calls. I was worried sick to the point that I lost my appetite to eat.

"I hope he's alright," I said, pacing around our room. I rubbed my hips when they felt heavy and stopped to sit down on the cushion close to the foot of the bed.

I called Lucas again and got no response. I bit my fingernail, not caring if my nail polish was getting ruined. I stopped biting down on it and decided to call Axel, who immediately responded.

"What's up, sis-inlaw," he said.

Any other day, I would have found what he said funny but I was worried and uncomfortable.

"Axel," I said, hearing the concern in my voice. "Have you seen Lucas today?"

"Lucas? Isn't he with you?" He asked back.

"No, he's not. I've been calling him but he isn't answering. I wanted to know if he's with you or Barry."
