Early the next morning, Nancy was awakened by the noise in the room, she woke up to see the maids hurling their luggages outside, Derek was not on the bed. But she knew he had slept there because sometime in the night, she had woken up to his sleeping form beside her. She was surprised to find him there since he had stormed out the previous night, but Nancy knew she had to get used to sharing that bed with her husband.

Victory meowed immediately she saw Nancy awake and jumped into her hands immediately, Nancy rocked the cat's head gently and whispered softly,

"We are going to a new place, baby."

As if understanding, the cat twisted and turned in her arms, letting out what Nancy considered a happy purring.

"Good morning, Lady Lincoln. We were asked to tell you to prepare when you wake up, everyone is downstairs waiting for you."
