Chapter Eleven

After breakfast, Sofia quickly went to freshen up. When she was done she brought out a pair of Jean trousers, a blue top, and a jacket, she needed to get dressed before her father changed his mind about going with her to the hospital.

She brushed her hair out and stood in front of her dressing mirror deliberating if she should pack it up in a pony or let it fall on her shoulder. She decided to let it fall on her shoulder, she wore her sneakers and picked up her jacket, and headed to the living room.

Sofia was surprised to see her still on call with his customer. He signaled to her to come to sit with him as he continued with his conversation on the phone, she sat beside him but paid little or no attention to the phone call.

When David Cortez was done with his phone call he suggested to Sofia that they go to the pharmacy instead of going to the hospital as he described the ache in his back to be a very mild one.
