☆☆Mia POV☆☆
“Mia,” the teacher shouted out loud and all heads turned to me as she headed towards me.
She hovered over my head and looked at my exam paper and then at me. I was in shock because of what just happened and I couldn’t respond.
I couldn’t speak or move. So, she just stood there staring at me. I glanced at her and then at the paper again.
Then I mustered whatever strength I had left in me and said: “I think I am done. I will leave now” and bolted towards the door as all eyes were following me.
I came out of class panting heavily like I was running a marathon although I was exhausted mentally and not physically.
I was supposed to meet Kevin after the exam session at the door of his assigned class so that I can pass the horseshoe secretly to him.
Since I finished the exam earlier than we thought, I headed to the cafeteria to look for him.

☆☆Mia POV☆☆I dropped my body on the nearest chair outside the operating room waiting for any doctor or a nurse to come out and tell us what was going on, but no one came.Kevin’s parents sat down on the bench opposite to me. Kevin’s mom was sobbing soundly, while his father sat next to her hugging her shoulders and consoling her, and trying as much as possible to stay strong himself.I looked at the clock on the wall and I felt the tic-toc was beating in my chest. My heart was trembling rapidly, I felt cold inside and my body was shivering uncontrollably.Every passing minute felt like a year in waiting.I impatiently took a breath in to calm myself and looked down at my hands. ☆☆Mia POV☆☆ The moment I saw the caller’s name “Granny” pop up on the screen, I lost every bit of composure that was left in me. Ch.19 COMA ☆☆Mia POV☆☆ As soon as we heard the nurse’s words, we all came out, running of the waiting room and headed to the ICU where Kevin was kept. The doctor was already there; he was holding some files and charts while talking to one of the nurses assigned to the care. “Make sure to check his vitals hourly and report back to me” the doctor ordered the nurse as she nodded her head and then he turned his head to us. “Mr Jackson, Kevin’s vital readings are not good. ☆☆Kevin POV☆☆ I kept on losing and gaining consciousness inside my head numerous times, before; I started to feel awake for longer periods of time. I couldn’t move my body or see anything. I could only hear voices around me. First, the voices were lost and vague and then I tried to focus harder and started to recognise a door opening, nurses talking, and different footsteps around me. That was frustrating really, I needed to wake up. I was good and conscious now. I didn’t black out for quite some time. I tried to concentrate to wake myself up or even move any part of my body, but I couldn’t. I felt like I weighed 100 pounds, my body refused to obey and sank into the darkness more.
