Tom stood in front of the twenty-five storey building hotel open to those that had the means to afford its opulence. He could have gone in, but he felt safer waiting for Duncan on the street. Early that morning when he had woken up and realized he had told his mother he owed Chronos up to two hundred thousand, shame filled him like nothing else could. He felt ashamed because he should have known better than to get into gambling, he tried his best to stop but it was like he couldn't break it. Paul had bailed him out many times till he became fed up with his non repentance. He shivered as he drew his coat to cover him more; the weather was usually cold that morning, something people kept saying was due to the climate change the world was currently trying to battle.
