Chapter 31: slow realization

Tom watched the silver Bentley he had been following slow to a stop in front of an old building on an almost desserted street. He was not surprised by the dilapidated state of most of the building on the street as a sign he had passed some miles back had informed him that the area was under renovation. He tried to get rid of his stupid nerves when he saw Duncan get out of the car, his black briefcase still with him, and then moved to stand in front of the shop. It took some minutes but the top hat guy also got down, making a show of buttoning his maroon colored silk jacket. He paused what he was doing and looked around like he was doing a quick survey before he entered the building, his stride, powerful and intimidating. Duncan followed immediately, looking towards the corner where the cab was parked, making Tom bend instinctively to avoid being seen.
