It's been a week since Lucinda moved out of the house, packing some of her stuffs to go stay in a popular bed and breakfast owned by her friend's daughter. She left the day she had that conversation with Betty in the kitchen. Betty and Jameson had been unaware of the whole thing till late evening when they didn't see her for dinner. Kelly had also been subdued, her eyes all puffy as if she had been crying. Jameson had asked if all was well and she told him she was just feeling emotional thanks to the hormones. Neither he nor Betty were convinced, but they dropped the issue, still thinking of how to tell her about her father's sudden need to see her. Jameson had gone up the stairs to go get Lucinda to join them for dinner. He paused mid calling, finding the room empty and devoid of the energy that was Lucinda's.
