Gone

Thalia

She glared at Connor, all of the heart ache in her chest gone for a second. Why was he holding onto her? what gave him the right? why was Iyla so okay with cuddling up with a stranger.

Connors words cut straight through her like a sharpened knife through softened butter. They were harsh. cruel. But true. She knew now that what truly mattered to her was Koin. Silly as it seemed, seeing her sister, Ordia, Oak and Ash were nothing anymore. Having Koin shove her out of the bedroom and ignore her was like a cold splash of water, waking her up from her angry dreaming.

She couldn't even reply at this point. Iyla stood looking between Connor and Thalia, and Thalia really looked at her.

They were not the same. Thalia had held onto every horrible memory, lived in fear and anxiety which eventually became this unbearable rage. But her sister was the opposite. Happy and excited, full of life, accepting of these people already. Where had she gone so wrong? She realized she was crying
