Chapter 53
Wes sat on the throne with his elbow resting on his knee, and his hand slightly scratching the side of his chin. The golden crown rested on his head.
"Why did you do that?" He asked in a calm manner.
"Why did I do what?" Aurum countered, feigning ignorance.
Wes stood from the throne and descended the four steps that brought him to Aurum's eye level.
"You stole the potion from me. You knew about it the whole time. You knew why I was in the human world. You knew about my plans and you manipulated me. Do have anything to say that would justify your actions?"
"What are you complaining about? You hated your father and now he has willingly made himself scarce. And you are the king now. So what if I decided to omit some details? You are far too young to know everything, Wes."
"You destroyed the kingdom!" Wes shouted.
Aurum took a step back.

Willow landed on the cold hard ground of the basement with a thud after absorbing a punch to the face. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Rick asked. The basement was filled with gym equipment and weapons that the members of the organization used to kill vampires. Rick and Willow occupied a corner, where he taught her self-defense and how to attack and kill a vampire. The rest of the basement was filled with others training to fight too. Five Months Later Willow walked down the empty street at night. The dark atmosphere and dimmed yellow light bulbs allowed very little vision ahead. She held her coat tightly with her gloved hands and wrapped her arms around herself as she quickened her pace, knowing that a vampire was following her. All that could be heard was the sound of her quick feet tapping against the concrete and the pounding of her heart. The vampire, too, quickened his pace. She walked inside her room and shut the door, walking towards the window and looking out at the city that now stretched beyond its previous boundaries. Willow stepped out of the shower and wore the same black clothes that had become like a uniform to her. After drying her hair, she tied it into a high ponytail and left her room. She walked down the dark hallway. Only dim lamps were allowed in the building and those lamps were placed in all the rooms. The only well-lit area was the basement. The rest of the building remained in the darkness at night. Members of the organization had to rely on moonlight or had to memorize the floor plan and count their steps.
