CHAPTER SIXTY-FOUR: THE ONLY GUY

ANNIKA’S POV

“Being a mother is not just about having a child, Juliette. Unfortunately for you, you don't deserve to be called a mother. . .or if you are, then you are a terrible mother. I may have lost my child, I may not have the chance to raise him like you do. . . But in spirit, and in heart, I am more a mother than you,” I clapped back, my veins almost popping out of anger. She looked so stunned, until her eyes turned sharp in annoyance.

She let go of Timmy and took a step forward, her eyes shooting me a deadly glance.

“How dare you—”

Before her palm could land on my face, I was quick to block her. Timmy stood behind her, frozen to the ground as he watched us. I feel so sorry for him that he had to witness this, but I'm not just gonna let Juliette hurt me again.

“Do not ever think of touching me again, Juliette. You're mad because you know I'm right. Accept it, you're a terrible mother and Timmy is better off without you. If you can't love him enough, then don't give him false hop
