Because I was invited to handle a supporting role, a double celebration happened when we finally arrived at Harris' restaurant.

To give you a brief background information, the past years of Harris working hard to be a marketing consultant before led him to fulfill his greatest goal in life... and that is to build his own restaurant. His restaurant is now successful knowing that he's a good cook, and he's also handsome.

I've heard that Harris finished an engineering course way back, but he became a marketing consultant, now a chef and manager of his own restaurant.

That might be because not all the time, it's not related to the course that a person finished that he will get a job right after that person graduated. Perhaps it's their choice not to apply for a specific job related to their degree, or it's not their choice to take that degree during college.
