I was not sure where was my Mom going, all I knew was that she left us soon as Neil came closer to me to say something. Me being so paranoid waited for him to explain. If this was all about Felicia again, then what's the problem?

"It's hard to say this but you really need to know this thing," I heard him again. His voice weak as if he could collapse in any moment. "Sydney, I need your understanding this time. But, if you're not agreeing with your mom's decision, then that is still okay for me."

"Tell me what is it," I said, popping the 't'.

"Felicia is now residing in the hospital."

Silence fell. And soon as I did not answer, he spoke up again, "I know you two are not in good terms that's why I rejected your Mom's demand of me taking care of that woman. And if you are asking why your Mom encouraged me is that Felicia requested it."
