With that, Hunter took the phone from me and said, “Stop interrupting my date, cuz. Tell your mom I would be home late. Talk to you later.” And he hung up on her.
I groaned. “She is so going to kill me!”
He laughed. “She’s been trying to do that to me for the last seventeen years but so far she hasn’t succeeded yet. Don’t worry. She’s not very good with assassination plots.”
I laughed and then I rested my head on his shoulder again. After a minute, my phone beeped.
