Aria couldn't sleep through out the night as she kept drifting in and out of sleep. Her mind is obviously occupied with the thought of Frank and that other woman.
She woke up the next morning with throbbing ache in her head and some part of her muscle as well which was as a result of her endless tossing and turning throughout the night without finding any peace of mind.
She crawled out of bed and walked into the bathroom with a loud yawn before stretching some of her aching muscles.
She didn't even bother to check her phone for messages. she was pretty sure and beyond doubt that, Frank endless messages and missed calls would be waiting to greet her the moment she does hence her need to avoid it.
While in the bathroom, she tried not to look at her reflection in the mirror either while she carried out her morning routine .
Aria was sure she won't like whatever would be sta
*The next week that followed_saw Frank in a different phase as he found himself buried in more work than he would have loved to indulge himself in. He barely had time to do anything else as his new work schedule had him in a tight leash.Their annual Board member meeting was coming up real soon and he has too many documents to oversee while making sure everything was perfectly in order for their new group of investors.Martha who happens to be his new Assistant was far from being efficient. In fact she was the exact opposite of what an assistant is supposed to be.He doesn't even know why he was still keeping her around but one of these days, Frank is sure to find a replacement soon enough so he can gladly transfer her to serve in another department since he can't even fire her as usual.Yup...He has changed ever since Aria happened. The thought of asking Aria for he
Aria woke up the next morning with a split headache as she grudgingly rubbed her eyes and reached for her glasses. She couldnt recall how she got to bed last night but she was grateful she woke up in it and not under a moving truck because her bones sure feels like she has been hit by one.Her headache was getting stronger by each passing second as she kept trying to recall any detail from the previous day without any luck. The last thing she remembered was someone hovering over her followed with a loud noise in the background. Her throat felt dry as she gave a loud yawn and a full stretch before she finally climbed out of bed. She was on her way to the bathroom when she heard noises coming from her kitchen.Aria took a d-turn and walked right back towards the kitchen. She stood with wide eyes as she stared at the unfamiliar figure moving around in her kitchen. She adjusted her glas
"Can you explain to me what that guy was doing at your apartment so damn early in morning? And please for the love of God_ do not lie to me. I want the absolute truth"Frank had demanded while staring at her straight in the face. His face had no expression making it more difficult for her to read. But one thing was certain, Frank was enrage. His little finger hasnt stop twitching since he pulled them out of his pocket. To think that she couldn't remember a thing makes her even nervous as she stood under his questioning gaze.Squaring her shoulder a bit, she took a deep breathe as she looked up at him and hoping with all her heart that he could see the truth in her eyes and believe her words."Henry had to stay here last night because i had a crisis even though I can't remember half of it." she explained calmly taking a deep breath to calm her racing heart."You trust him that much that you rather let him stay the night with you
1763 word(s)Published~wave of relief ~*Aria arrived very late at work that very day but was lucky not to have received any query. Her boss was still in a happy mood which was why he didn't pay mind to her rushing through the hall way like a deer before she quickly dashed into her office and locked herself in with a sigh. She settled down in her winged chair before reaching for her bag to grab her cellphone. She had sent Frank a message on her way to work and was hoping for maybe a reply but was disappointed when she checked her message box and including her WhatsApp and saw nothing.Frank must have read it through his notification without opening it. He was still furious at her and she can very much understand why as she sat there with a solemn expression and biting down at her bottom lip in anxiety.Aria realized just how careless and stupid she has been but being a cheat is definitely not one of those things and she ough
*Frank was still deep in thought when he felt his phone vibrating and followed by Aria's name popping into the screen. He didn't bother to read it but instead_ he flipped the screen over.He walked around his table and settled down on his seat with a deep scowl on his face. The cracking sound within his palm only announced his level of anger when he unknowingly snapped his pen into two without realizing it.The last time he was that enraged over sometime was when he was left without a bride. He swore never to feel that way again until Aria creep into his life and eventually took over his heart as well. His anger was directed more at that bastard who took advantage of her meekness for weakness.Frank knew right from the onset that he was up to no good around her. The sinister look in his eyes whenever Frank would notice him looking at her has always been prove enough to dislike the guy with every fiber in his bone. Two hours la
Aria waited with anxious feet back at her office. she kept glancing at her phone for anything that indicate that Henry has actually had a talk with Frank but nothing. She waited another whole hour with no single call or text from neither the two before she finally ran out of patience and decided to take the initiative and call Frank's number but it was busied just about immediately. The thought of redialing was left hanging as she was no longer sure of what could be going on.Maybe Henry is still yet to go talk to Frank she thought with a deep sigh as she leaned back against the chair with too many thought rushing through her mind.Aria couldn't help but feel like a fool for trusting Henry to do this one thing for her as she kept blaming herself for being so vulnerable and dependent on someone who doesn't even know the gravity of how she truly feels about loosing Frank. She glance at her wrist watch and realized that it was almo
Henry's POVMy face hurt like i have just been hit by a moving truck. I think it's broken even but everything is worth the pain.No pain no gain right? You might think am a psychopath for doing all I have done but what choice do I have? In life you fight to get what you want and everything is fair in love and war.Did I feel pain when Frank had hit me? Of course I did and it took everything in me not to fight back. I could already see how it will all end for the both of us.I let him win in order to claim the prize. He made it easier than I thought he would. All I had to do was provoke him enough to hit me and it worked like magic.Aria showing up right when she did was the universe way of patting me on the shoulder.Yes I do deserve it no matter what you might think or say_even though I feel like shit with my swollen face_my heart is gladden beyond doubt because I know am this close to winning her over.Ari
Aria was back in her apartment feeling like a huge load has just been lifted off her shoulder as she lay coiled up in the cushion like a ball.It was just a few minutes after 9pm_Aria's head was filled with thought of Frank as it kept flooding her mind and drowning the little voices in her head telling her to call him and talk it out.She hates the fact that he didn't believe her and even more that she couldn't do anything to prove her innocence.Aria was heart broken with the way things have gotten and wished she had had that talk with Henry earlier than now because none of what was going on would have happened.A single tear roll down her cheek even though she promised herself not to cry again. She just couldn't hold it in no matter how hard she tried. She let her arms slipped around her petite figure in a bid to comfort herself as she was visibly shaking even though the room was pretty warm. She missed having Frank look at her so l
