Chapter 13 — Reconciliation Under The Moonlight

Tristan must say, sneaking out from that room was unexpectedly more challenging than walking past the guards and hotel staffs to reach the maze garden.

Unfamiliar with the establishment's turns and twists, he had no choice but to ask the two for a map, not giving the particular place he's aiming to go. It went on smoothly, but their suspicious gazes keep poking him from behind as he make his way out.

The hedges forming the maze garden was several inches higher than the top of his head. But it did not take him much time to find her seated on a stone bench. She wears no hood or long cape this time, but the brightness of the full moon behind her intensified the darkness of the surfaces behind it. It somehow makes it appear like her face is being wrapped by shadow.

After a moment of halt, he gulped and proceed to meet her face to face.

"So you're that 'good' aunt Anne bragging about." The rising fear he feels
