Chapter 11: Joy is back

Early in the morning, when the sun was just shining through the small window next to the bed, Lily heard the birds chirping outside. Really, this place is a paradise of nature, unlike the urban place where she lives with her parents. Lily sat up, peeking out through a window filled with the yellow wood grain of cockroach wings. The sky was clear, blue like the sea, the sound of leaves rustling at the edge of the forest was only a few meters away from where she sat.

"Miss Lily, Miss Lily, are you awake?"

Venn's frantic call was outside the door. Lily put on her shoes and went to the main door.

"What are you doing in such a hurry?"

Venn was still panting. The boy was also a werewolf, but not old enough or strong enough to control the pace of his steps as quickly as other adult werewolves. Venn's movement speed is probably only slightly higher than Lily's.

“Master… master called you.”

"Call me?" Lily was bewildered for a while and then asked again: "Why did the master call me so early?"
