AXIL'S POV
Nothing in the world could describe how I was feeling right now, at this very moment, as the connection between my pack and I suddenly blossomed. Thousands of voices collided within my mind as I felt the bombardment of many different emotions. From confusion to happiness to relief then anger. I felt it all. What was once one of my biggest sources of annoyance in the past turned into my absolute enjoyment as I allowed the link between my people to strengthen and grow.
I cradled Mira in my arms as I stared out at the sea of people before me.

Tiana was being held at the police station, in a very secured interrogation room with about four guards who made sure she remained unconscious day in and day out. It was a smart move on their part as by doing so she’d have no way of escaping or contacting her partner in crime before they could figure out what to do with her. The silence was so loud that I could hear my own heart beating. Thump… thump… thump It was calm and steady with no signs of it ever increasing its speed, and my mind was peaceful for once. With Axil's speed, we made it back to the clearing in no time. The beautiful waterfall appeared before me once more and as I slid off Axil's back, a sudden thought struck me. I was living out a fantasy that I've read and heard about so many times in novels. Like... I always knew they existed because c'mon, I'm literally solid proof. I've lived so many years thinking that I'd never enter back into the supernatural world that I began thinking of them as mere myths. But here I was now.
