There's Always an Interruption

Rob dragged himself from his bed when the alarms went off and his phone blew up with messages.

“Now what’s wrong?” Becky sat up on her elbow and looked blurry eyed at Rob. “Are we being attacked again? They accounted for all the Lycan, hadn’t they?”

“Yes, but this time it’s not the Lycan. There’s a breach in our southern border. It looks like it’s the rogues Bart came here chasing. “Looks like our afternoon nap will have to become an evening nap. I need to deal with this.”

“I guess we’re all going back to the room in the basement?” Becky sighed as she made to get out of the bed. She didn’t look forward to going down there and listening to all the complaints. Sure, she understood now it was her job as Rob’s mate to deal with the complaints, but some of them were just foolish and petty. Becky wasn’t sure what they thought those complaints would achieve at this point.
