Jenny's POV
I sit with Jord and Annie as Jas is off working with Lilly. This new development has us all very spooked. The way this girl is just super smart and the way it seems to run in our genes... it's just very scary. I look at the clock, then back at the table.
"So, that was fucking weird," Annie blurts out.
"Yeah it was. Were you aware of that talent the whole time and just didn't tell us?"
Jordan's accusation hits Annie a little hard, I can tell by the look she has on her face. "No. I didn't know she had it. I thought it was a made up thing to keep me scared. How was I supposed to know she had this gift. She never told me either."
I look at the way Jord is watching her. He seems to accept her words at face value. Trust, it's a weird thing to have in a relationship, for me anyway. I never trusted anyone, not even who I thought were my parents. I get lost in my thoughts, letting the conversation between the two of them carry on.
