Rose's pov.
Six years later.
"Higher, daddy, higher!" Olivia squealed, laughing excitedly.
Lorcan chuckled, giving the swing an extra push. "Hold on tight, sweetie."
I watched them with a smile as my little girl giggled with delight. It was the best view ever, seeing my baby playing happily with her father.
Life had never been busier for both of us, so we get less time to spend with our kids. Our busy schedules keep us occupied. However, we are trying to strike a perfect balance between our professional work and our roles as loving parents to our two angels. Olivia and Liam.
And even though we are busy, we made sure to present for every important moment in our children's lives. Whether it was attending Olivia's school events, or cheering Liam to become friends with his classmates since he has anxiety.
Both Lorcan and I are extra protective of our kids after I almost lost Liam six years back. The thought still gives me chills. Lorcan,
Rose's pov.Olivia and Liam were extremely excited when we announced that we would be taking them to Grandma's house."Grammy has a big playroom, mama!" Liam was having a hard time controlling his happiness. Grandma had done so much for them in her house. She loved to spoil them.We have to leave to visit a Resort and see if it would be good for our next shooting location. The owner knows Lorcan and invited us for a two night stay. So, grandma suggested that the kids would stay with her, she was missing them as well."Everything ready?" Lorcan showed up in the doorway."Yeah, Please pick Oli's water bottle from the kitchen counter and we are ready to go," I said, handing him the kid's bag that I packed. Liam ran after him."Come here, love," Picking up Oli, I left the room as well.We arrived at Grandma's house in an hour, and she greeted us with warm hugs and smiles. "Oh, my little monster!""Grammy! We bought you cookies!" Li
Rose's pov.The stars twinkled in the night sky, holding hands as we walked along the beach's edge. Cold breeze welcomed us by tickling our faces. The view was breathtaking as well as the person walking besides me.Lorcan dragged me away from the venue to steal a moment alone for us. The soft sand under my feet felt cool and soothing. Lorcan was wrapping his arm around my waist holding me close, as if he never wanted to let me go. And it was the same for me.The moment was just so calming and magical. We finally had our wedding not just on paper but with traditional rituals as well. I was trying to control my happiness but I just couldn't. Finally everything was right, there's nothing to be afraid of. It feels like the beginning of a beautiful tomorrow."I never thought I would have a moment like this in my life. Life is really unpredictable," Lorcan said.My lips curved into a big smile, my heart overflowing with affection for this man. "Fate has
Rosalyn's pov.In the church. In the ceremony, taking a deep breath and sucking in my nervousness, I walked towards the man who I have been in love with for a long time. I gazed at the man of my dreams with a wide smile as I felt like I couldn't be more happy than this. It's like I have achieved everything and now I just look forward to my happy marriage days.Nick, my incredible husband, offered his hand to me, his eyes gleaming with adoration as he looked down at me as if he had gained all the happiness in this world. His expression resembles my own."You look really beautiful," He whispered with a hint of giddiness and I felt my face burning."You too," I told him back with a shy expression while the priest read the speech."You can exchange the vows now," the priest says.“I, Rosalyn Falone, take you, Nick Burke, to be my wedding husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish until de
"You’re right! Nick, I love you so much! You always think about me, worrying that birthing will hurt my body too much, and you even wrong yourself to marry that idiot.” Ana's words explained my confusion. These words were like a stab in my chest. I couldn't bear their mocking laughs anymore.Slamming the door open, I caught them off guard as they yelled. My eyes burned when I saw their naked and attached bodies. The view was disgusting enough to make me want to puke."Rosalyn, w-what are you doing here?" Nick asked with a stunned and scared face."Why am I here?!" I snarled with a violent wrath present in my voice, deep drowning in the rage of betrayal and disloyalty which I got back in exchange of pure and blind love. "I'm surprised at how shameless you are. You still have the audacity to ask the question, huh? You cheater asshole?""Well, since there's nothing to hide anymore, might as well close the door while you live because you see, we are not done yet," he snickered, Ana joinin
I don't know how or when I was taken to the hospital. All I met was an unfamiliar ceiling of the hospital ward after waking up while tubes attached to my hand. I hissed from the pain in my head where I found bandages instead of the blooded wound."Ah, you're awake I see," The Doctor said when she entered the ward."Yes," I let out as she took her time to examine my wounds, before coming and standing in front of me with an odd look on her face which made me frown in confusion."Your wounds are okay. You're also ready to discharge, however, there's an issue that I would like to talk with you about before you leave," She told me which kinda made me nervous."Alright," I nodded, waiting for her to continue."We have given you a premarital along with a few blood tests and it shows that the quality of your follicles is very poor," She explained but I didn't quite understand her, then she continued taking in my confusing look. "Many white-collar women face such problems nowadays, because of
The next day, even though everything is a mess, I mustered the courage to go to work. I don't even remember at what time I went to sleep at night with my sore eyes. My eyes were puffy and were swollen in the morning but I still tried to get myself in the usual work mood.Currently, I'm the same girl that was forced to fight alone. I should be strong enough for myself.I have a lot to deal with, including the suffering and debt my so-called husband left for me to pay as well as the stress and confusion associated with deciding whether to have a child. However, working all day while distracted was even worse."Still daydreaming about your marriage," I heard my colleague sneering. Snapping back to reality, I diverted my eyes off the computer and looked at him, he was leaning against the desk with a cup of coffee in his hands. "You should focus on your work while you're at the office.""It’s none of your business." I replied with a deadpan glance. He chuckled without any humour, his eyes
I have never felt something like that, never have been so scared. No, I was petrified. The intensity of my fear could be seen on my forehead and palms in the form of cold sweat, and from my rapid and troubling breaths.I returned back to the motel. I didn't even change and freshen up when I heard a loud and aggressive knock on my door. And maybe because I was so exhausted that I opened it without any thought. But what was waiting for me outside gave me the shock of my life!A row of men in black suits stood in front of me.They didn't give me any time to breath or yell and out of nowhere grabbed me and began to drag me with them. I wanted to scream for help but didn't got any chance as they escorted me into a car, and soon my mouth and wrist were bounded with a cloth and taken to a luxurious house."Who are you all?" I asked, trying to sound chill. They didn't answer and took me inside.A man was sitting on the leather sofa, wearing a dark blue three-piece. He didn't answer me yet but
No! I can't let him win like this. I won't come off as weak and helpless. I know I'm beyond scared but that doesn't mean I'm fragile enough to let him walk all over me and snatch my child away just like that.Money? Does he really think I want his money?"Yes, I'm broke right now but I won't sell my child to you for money. In fact, as long as you're willing to investigate, I don't choose to be a surrogate for the money, I just fucking want my own kids!" I yelled at him.My heart was beating harder. It was the first time I was speaking out loud to someone. I always thought that being kind would save you as much trouble as possible, but the irony is that trouble always comes to kind people. Although all of this should be caused by Nick, but he disappeared, and the bad luck brought me a demon, who wanted to rob me of my child.I stared at him angrily, and I was pretty sure I wouldn't back down if he pointed a gun at me, but my little unborn baby... am I going to lose him?Could this demo
