Pulling Away

Derinem drove the car, consistently staring at the rearview mirror to see the kids, who couldn't stop watching his back to the extent that he could feel holes boring into him.

He rubbed his forehead with the back of his hands, wondering if he had overreacted. It was bad enough that he had to think about that when the deed had already been done.

He had found out that the man in blue was the bully's father, and he was so mad with anger that he had to shoot him in the foot, after decking him with blows.

The teacher had stood with her palms over her mouth, crying silently because he had told her to shut the fuck up. Though he had not done anything to her, he sure knew that was going to traumatize her for the rest of her life.

Maya shouldn't hear of this; he wasn't prepared to face her wrath. The last time he did face her wrath, he had gone sleepless for about a week. Now if she finds out he dealt with the kids' teacher and shot their classmates' parents in the foot, damn.
