I stared blankly at the photo in front of me.

“I don’t understand.” I said. “I thought that Alpha David’s daughter was dead. How can she be alive?”

Harley shrugged.

“I think that someone must have faked her death to give her the chance to escape from Alpha Harald.” He said. “I found out that they are legally married, and I suspect that it’s Alpha Harald’s mark on her neck as well.”

I growled at the thought of him touching her, but another thought came to mind.

“Those other people that the warriors have encountered on the streets at night.” I said. “Do you think that they could be out looking for Cec… err… Linnea too?”

Harley’s eyes widened.

“They must have found out that her death was a ruse.” He whispered. “If they get her hands on her before we do…”
