Chapter 39 - Secrets secrets

Gabriel POV

The sun was rising and we headed back to the pack to get some rest.

The car ride was silent, neither of us knew what to say.

My mind was a mess. I never imagined that I would meet my mate this way.

“What are you going to do?” Oscar asked.

I was silent for a moment, trying to gather my thoughts.

“I have no idea.” I mumbled.

“You better figure it out before we get back, or we’ll be in trouble with the Alpha.” Oscar muttered.

I groaned.

“What if we say that we came up empty?” I asked. “No one but the two of us knew that we found her. I have a feeling that Olivia will reject me if I turn Linnea in right now.”

Oscar was quiet for a moment.

“Are you sure that it isn’t for the best?” He asked. “I mean, she’s a bloodsucker. What are you going to do with a bloodsucker for a mate?”
