Chapter 38 - Queen meeting

I was taken aback by Queen Ayesha’s blunt demeanor.

“Thank you for having me, Queen Ayesha.” I said and smiled nervously. “My name is…”

Queen Ayesha waved her hand at me.

“I know who you are.” She smiled. “You are currently the most wanted wolf in the city, Linnea Nielsen. Alpha Harald has been tearing this city apart to find you.”

I stared at her.

“Has he been here?” I asked.

Queen Ayesha shook her head.

“Not yet.” She said. “But I figure that once those two out in the alley tell him where you are, they will come knocking the doors down to get to you.”

I felt tears gather in my eyes, but I blinked rapidly to prevent them from falling.

“I don’t want to get you in trouble.” I said. “I should probably take my leave before they get here.”

Queen Ayesha chuckled.

“You don’t have to do that.” She said and walked around the desk.

She gestured with her hand to the chair in front of her desk and I sat down.

“I heard that you have been hiding out in Alessandro Costa’s pack.” She told me
