Chapter 58 - Enemy in plural

Gabriel POV

I was running through the forest in my wolf form, feeling stressed as midday was approaching fast. When I reached the border, I heaved a sigh of relief when I saw the two warriors on patrol were MoonStone pack members.

I shifted back and they greeted me.

“I need your help.” I said, looking around to make sure that we were alone.

“What’s wrong, Sir?” One of the warriors asked.

“The Alpha Princess is about to return.” I told them. “Alpha Harald is executing Alpha David at noon if she doesn’t show up.”

I registered the looks of horror on their faces as they exchanged worried glances.

“And I need your help to stop it.” I continued.

They both frowned in confusion.

“An army will follow behind her.” I explained. We need to keep them under wraps though. Alpha Harald can’t know that they’re coming through. Do you understand?”

The two warriors grinned and saluted me just as I saw Linnea come walking up the road.

“They’re at the square.” I said. “Are you ready?”
