Going Through It

Future Alpha Romero's POV

It starts with an inexplicable fatigue overtaking me.

At first, it looks like I have a terrible case of the flu. My limbs ache, a construction worker seems to be working adrift with a chisel in my head, and my heart is racing like crazy. The beads of sweat on my forehead keep popping up, no matter how I wipe them away, they stick to my face.

The pain in my lower abdomen is the most excruciating. I roll off my bed and hit the floor with a loud bang. The sound wakes my Beta. He jumps out of bed and runs towards me.

"Romero, what's wrong? Are you in pain somewhere?" he asks worriedly. "Ask Xan to heal you quickly." He helps me to sit up, but even that makes me groan. Stitches are running through my body, it's like I've landed in a bed full of thorns.

"Aaahh man, I can't reach Xan. He seems numb," I moan. I try to use my Alpha strength to feel as less discomfort as possible. But it doesn't work, I can't remember wher
