“I’m so exhausted,” Martina said yawning, as she slumped onto the couch, “I did not! Sign up for this,” she scolded, settling deeper into the couch and inhaling a long breath.

“I'm sorry bestie, Antonio and I thought it would be best if you became more acquainted with the employees, it has been two years since you were introduced to them, yet, they know little about you, we thought it was a good idea,” Susan explained to justify their actions, taking her seat next to Martina. Martina sighed and turned her head to face Susan.

“I understand, but you're aware of the situation I'm currently in, I need to be there for Clara, she needs me here,” Martina explained worriedly, she couldn't abandon the well-being of her child for the company.

She ought to be there for her child. She didn't want to imagine what would ensue, should she leave her daughter alone. She would be traumatized to know her ignorance caused her daughter to be in a dire predicament.
