"Really?" Jennifer's eyes lit up. "You promise?"

Maxwell nodded. "Yes, I promise. What do you have in mind? Don't hide it from me and tell me. I'll handle it."

"I want her to leave and go abroad immediately. I don't want her in Haven City, and I don't ever want to see her again." Jennifer looped her arm around his and whined. "I don't want to share you with anyone. If she's not in the country, I can lie to myself and pretend nothing happened."

Maxwell was never one for threats. In the past, even if Jennifer yelled at him, he might not have agreed to her requests. But now, with the way Jennifer was holding him and staring up at him adoringly, who was he to refuse?

"Alright," Maxwell hummed before gently pressing her onto the sofa.

Although Jennifer had decided to do anything to achieve her goal, she still harbored resentment toward Maxwell. So, her body subconsciously resisted.

To avoid letting Maxwell notice, she stiffened and gently pushed him away. "Martha is still here."
