You are not a burden

“This silly girl.” A smile escaped from his mouth when he realized her hands had subconsciously reached out to catch him. At least she was docile and dependent on him in her sleep.

He looked at the slender small hands that were tightly gripping his shirt as if wanting him to stay there with him but he had some important work now. He would have loved to stay by her side but he needed to make things right to prevent such things from happening in future.

“Be good and sleep.” He whispered with the greatest amount of gentleness that he himself did not know he possessed.

But the hands on his shirt did not seem to be budging from the spot at all. She was like a baby panda, all touchy and stubborn by not letting his shirt go off her hand.

Applying a little bit of strength he slowly removed her claws form his shirt feeling a little lost and a little helpless.
