“Tell me what do you mean by that?” Mr. Claude Johnson growled on the phone with a hint of urgency in his voice.
“You really do think your grand daughter is the most innocent and purest little thing out there don’t you?” Michael did not know whether to laugh or cry at this pitiful old man.
But well, after all this he deserved it.
“I won’t say anything if your eyes are not still open after seeing what you saw just now.” Michael knew he could wake up the people who were asleep but not those who were pretending to be asleep.
Mr. Claude Johnson did not speak anything. Since silence was the only answer he got, Michael saw no point in continuing the useless discussion.
He still had some work to do with his grandfather.
“Then, I leave everything to your own decision Mr. Claude.” Michael without hesitation cut off the call.
“Hello…hello…” Mr. Claude kept on screaming at the phone but to no avail. No matter how much he shout
Michael had to close his eyes since the sudden brightness was too much for his eyes. After his eyes could adapt with the light, he looked at the room where he had put his step in for the first time. The room itself was nothing special except for the fact that it was covered with photos of people. Sand by photo it really was lots of photo of people covering the whole wall.“Is the secret of the of the Tyrell Family just a bunch of photos?” Michael did not want to believe what he said was true but the reality was right in front of him.“This damn boy..” the old grand father raised his cane to hit him but stopped mid way when he realized there relation was still not the best.“Ahemm…” He cleared his throat and started walking towards the center of the hall.Michael too was almost going to give natural reaction to the raised cane but then he too felt it was kind of awkward so he just gave up.
“Elaine, what’s wrong with you now days?” Yuri looked at the spaced out Elaine even when eating food. It had been a week since that incident, but Elaine had never smiled properly after that day and to make it worse it was getting scarce by the day.“Huh…Oh with me?” Elaine who woke up from her dream to the reality heard the concern in his voice and gave a soft smile.“I am just thinking about things in the university and stuffs.” Elaine lied brazenly but Yuri just accepted her excuses. If she was not willing to tell him, he could not force her.“Well, if you say so.” Yuri let out a sigh.“But if you ever feel like sharing things with me, you are more than welcome because I am more than ready to listen to your problems and complaints.” Yuri got up the chair and went to put the tray on the washing basin.Elaine looked with lost eyes at the flowing water, her mind wandering off s
Calming her mind and heart which was almost about to jump out of her body, Elaine looked at the car and confirmed that the car which stopped right before her definitely did not belong to Michael. If it did not belong to Michael, then whoever it was there was no reason for her to stay there. Stepping aside form the way of the car, Elaine walked away from the car on her own way but the car retraced its path once again blocking her.Elaine who had been kidnapped once and went through a traumatic experience was cautious now that the car showed weird actions. She wondered if someone from the last time was there to mess with her.“Why are you blocking my path?” Elaine called out at the driver after knocking on the window. She looked around a bit and found that the place was not empty which meant it was a safe place for her.“Hey, slide down the window..” Elaine was being polite but when the person inside continued ignoring her, sh
Elaine stayed out in one place as they changed the directions and started to travel through a much narrower yet empty street. Elaine was expressionless as she watched outside the window, watching the scene pass by like a fleeting moment. As Elaine continued looking outside the window, Drake started the conversation.“Elaine..”“Hmm….” Elaine replied without much enthusiasm. She would rather look outside the window and pass her time than look at him and feel all bitter from head to toe.Although Drake hated the indifference compared to how Elaine used to look at him with shiny eyes when ever she saw him, he was happy she was willing to talk to him.He cursed himself for not keeping his mouth shut when he had lost his control that night. He was still thinking that it was the reason that spoilt their relation. How naïve of him..“These days, how have you been?”“Me? Well so so&
Ever since the night Elaine was taken home by Michael, it has been a restless period of time for Drake. The fact that he messed up his relation with Elaine and could not even go after her had been killing him from inside but there was nothing else he could do about that.Things got worse the next morning when his boss called out of nowhere demanding to know about his daughter Sophie who had not returned home all night. There was no information and nothing.Drake had long been fed up with how Sophie was and was not surprised when she came forward with more problems for him.“She is not some kid, why making such a big fuss about it.” He had thought this then but she was worse than a kid when he found out what she had been up to.Cleaning up the mess she made, taking a beating and scolding from Tom Blake; that hateful fat bald man and since Michael also had made some problems for their company he was the one who had to stay up all n
Almost begging he spoke once again with his voice full of emotion. “One chance is all I ask for!” Elaine was silent even after hearing what he had to say. Drake waited for a bit for her reply but upon not getting what he had been waiting for, he knew that he was simply too late. He had already wasted the flowers from his youth and now he was left with nothing. He removed his hands from her shoulder and placed them on his back as he tried to think what was he going to do after this. “Let’s go home, it’s getting late.” Elaine was the first one to speak and break this suffocating silence. She walked past by him, the salty taste of air was somewhat refreshing to her as it whistled past her. Her long and wavy black hair swayed gently in the wind creating a fleeting yet memorable image which disappeared as soon as Drake’s eyes fell on her. Was it really that late? He felt his heart breaking into pieces but there was nothing he
On the other side of the phone, Michael seemed a bit silent after the call. He stared at the phone in his hand feeling a bit bitter. It had been weeks before he finally got the courage to think about Elaine…that vulnerable little bunny. All this time, he had been keeping himself away from her but now, with just a small talk about her, he was back to the old guy who was smitten helplessly with her. ‘So she went out with him?’ He pondered about the guy that he had seen the night when everything fell down from how it was supposed to be. From what he remembered, he knew that the guy was pretty good looking and young. “He must be her type,” he mumbled monotonously, unwilling to admit the sourness that was in his mouth. It was a lie to say that he was not jealous about this. He was sour as heck, but he did not want to admit it. Right now, he is seated at the office of his company. Along with many unsolved paper works and files, there was an old file on his desk. It
Michael looked at the girl he was holding and sighed. Well, he did not really sign up for this thing when he returned home. He made himself comfortable in the seat and placed the injured girl right next to him. He carefully placed her down so as not to harm her injuries. All the while he was worried about it. He placed the seatbelt across her but it seems he touched an injury. The girl flinched a bit. Michael immediately stopped and frowned. He thought for a bit and decided to do something else. He decided to hold her himself till they reached the hospital. It was better than getting the injuries worse. “Kim, let’s go.” He finally said after they were all settled in. The nearest hospital was about 30 minutes ride away. Since it was a rural village in a hilly region, there was lack of good hospital nearby. The only hospital here was a small health post that gave primary treatment for small diseases and injuries. ‘Yes, boss.” Kim nodded his head and stepped on
