It made no sense hiding it from her anymore. Before I knew the truth, I thought defending her would seem weird especially since she was a total stranger. It would have made more sense if I went along with their ridiculous joke instead of defending her. But now we both knew why I had that impulse. That stupid prophecy created a bond between us before we could even meet.

She ran after me, well ran as much as she could considering her injured leg. I purposely slowed my pace so she could catch up. Even though I hated to admit it, I still willingly cared for her. The part of me that was good cared for all mortals, especially weak injured ones. That obviously came from my mother.
