Chapter 41

For the past week, Alina, Kendra, and I had been meeting at my house to train. More precisely, we were trying to teach Kendra how to wield some sort of magic. With her being a half-blood, she should have been able to dabble with dark magic even in the slightest, however, she found it very difficult.

Alina assumed it was because of the way she was born. A wingless half-blood who probably took more of the mortal gene than the supernatural one. Also, there were speculations that Alina could wield magic only because of who her father was. Being so gifted meant that his offspring would be gifted as well.

We weren't exactly in contact with any more half-bloods to test our theories though so we just continued to play guessing games. With there being no literature about this sort of thing, it made things rather difficult. Angels weren't meant to procreate with mortals and I don't think the Creator even envisioned his following disobeying his orders.
